Premana W. Premadi makes the universe an infinite natural laboratory to study physics both micro and macro, and at the same time as a mirror to understand the complexity of life on Earth.
This second thing led him to create several programs aimed at building constructive relations with communities outside the astronomy profession, namely:
1. Science education about the universe for children: by establishing Universe Awareness for Children Indonesia. The program has been active since 2007 introducing the beauty of nature to tens of thousands of children in various parts of Indonesia.
2. Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) education, which is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals specifically for energy, water, and quality education. The program has trained and assisted hundreds of teachers since 2013, especially in underdeveloped areas. For this, he collaborates with many parties. Her program in the interior of Timor is an example of a community development program that is supported nationally and internationally.
3. Cosmology as a field of study that is philosophically, spiritually and culturally inspiring, encourages him to build a space for constructive interaction between various dimensions of the humanities. She founded the Bandung Society for Cosmology and Religion in 2005 as a forum for healthy dialogue between religions, cultures, and science.
Because of her deep interest in art and her serious desire to encourage art and science to intertwine to advance Indonesian culture, she has been a member of the Arts Coalition since 2019.
