Oming PutriOrganizational Development and Partnership Manager

Since her university years in Malang, East Java, Oming has been actively engaged in both music and visual arts communities across cities mostly in Java. Her involvement ranges from organizing grassroots events to collaborating with fellow artists, while also working as a freelance writer. These experiences not only deepened her understanding of the arts ecosystem but also honed her skills in communication, coordination, and community building.

As her skills grew, so did her networks, connecting her with artists, cultural workers, and advocates beyond local scenes and into national forums. This expanding reach began when she joined Koalisi Seni as a volunteer in 2014. In 2015, she became a staff member and actively involved in the organization’s advocacy work, contributing to research, policy campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and network building.

Over the years, she took on increasing responsibilities, moving from volunteer to a staff position, and eventually in 2024 rising to her current role as Organizational Development and Partnership Manager. Her experiences span grassroots arts communities and national advocacy, giving her insights shaped by both community networks and policy landscape.

Imagination and critical thinking are the keys to change. Therefore, art is a fundamental prerequisite for the realization of democracy. Support us in establishing policies that fully advocate for artists.
