About Koalisi Seni
In response to the need for a nationwide organization that serves as a hub of knowledge and resources to improve the infrastructure and policies regarding the arts to benefit a wider community, the Indonesian Arts Coalition was established on May 3, 2012. The shared vision and mission is to strengthen Indonesia’s arts sector by engaging a network of stakeholders to mobilize resources and advocate public policies for a sustainable infrastructure.
Its founding members include individuals working in the field of film and visual arts, nonprofit arts organizations, performing art groups, and community organizations in the Republic of Indonesia. Current members, and still growing, are 150 arts and cultural organizations and individuals from 14 provinces throughout Indonesia.
